I stumbled across this with a hankering for filthy dsbm a la Xasthur and this scratched the itch despite being so much more - A healthy dose of that bleakness woven into riffs reminiscent of the classic Finnish style, atmospheric synths and a well balanced production style. This is a monster of a debut, and clearly, fans of any of the above shouldn't sleep on Ithilrå. The Mysterious Stranger

In a captivating and hypnotic Raw Black Metal, we let ourselves be carried away by the riffs into the heart of a lost distant world, bringing a whole dreamlike and primitive imagination. 𝕽𝖔𝖓𝖓𝖎𝖊 𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕳𝖔𝖗𝖓𝖊𝖉
If “atmospheric black metal” implies majestic comedowns and dramatic dynamics, this powerhouse instead constitutes anti-atmospheric black metal. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 23, 2021
